Being Prideful Is Wrong?
Being prideful may be an obsession with being not wrong.
In my opinion, being prideful is simply a behavior that stems from the belief or primal instinct of being wrong is a symbol of weakness which can endanger the self. Hence, to protect the self from harm, a prideful one does the best not to be wrong and acts as if better than others to feel safe.
At the same time, this obsession with the wrongness, which often ends in finger-pointing, usually doesn’t make anything right. However, rightness and wrongness don’t exist without any preconceived notions. And, being prideful can be defined in various ways.
Nevertheless, many times, pride comes as an obstacle to obtaining things of desire. Luckily, with a close examination of self, pride will disappear once the belief is identified and replaced with something beneficial.
Therefore, it isn’t about being wrong or right, but, the understanding of what is safe and what is not such that there will be no need to act unnecessarily prideful.
