More than a decade ago, I thought that to constantly eat throughout the day is the normal way to stay alive. However, now, I have a different view about eating.

I used to take breakfast, snacks, lunch, snacks, dinner, and supper, and have them in large qualities due to what I believed to be my high metabolism. As I was lean and didn’t gain weight easily, I was commonly told to eat more. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as well as commonly theorized. In fact, it was taking a toll on my health; I was suffering from eczema, spontaneous migraines, sleeping disorder, poor concentration, and uncaused irritation. My life felt miserable then.

Many parts of my world changed for the better since the day I decided to have an apple a day, which I wrote about it in another article. (You may read about it here if you are interested.) However, that’s not yet the happily ever after.

These days I have been having 2–3 meals per day; usually fruits as the first meal or together with the second meal in the morning near noon, and last meal in the evening. And, I tested having more than 3 meals a day a few times after being accustomed to my usual routine. Magically, in comparison, I feel more energized and alert with 2–3 meals a day than when I was having more than 3 meals a day. At the same time, I spend less time on eating, and greatly enjoyed and appreciated each meal as my sense of smell heightened.

However, I do not deny that there may be a flaw to my experiment; the cause of fatigue can be due the fact that I was changing my routine. Also, there may be people, who have many meals a day and live a healthy life. But, as all experience is a personal thing, I am sharing it simply for anyone, who are looking for a change, to use as a reference, which may be a solution, and not an absolutely workable solution. So, as all information should be treated, study with a piece of caution.

Oh,
by the way,
I have been vegetarian for about 7 years,
and I do take eggs and dairy products.
