We Are Influential

We are catalysts for everyone we come across.

In the past, I used to be tempted to assume that someone is in a bad state and requires assistance from me when there isn’t.

I realized that this assumption creates a sense of being needed, thus, a sense of worthiness.
Then, I noticed that this behavior stems from a place of no recognizing my own worth & not giving myself enough attentive care. This is due to myself not recognizing that it was my presumption that I was of no value in this world and yet I have to prove to myself that I am wrong about it.

This contradictory thought pattern created a lot of confusion and self-destructive actions due to the discord of my head thinking lowly of myself while my heart beating for me regardless of anything.
Hence, it also leads me to suppress my emotions and acting as logically as possible which didn’t bring forth much happiness as I can still tell that I am a human, not a robot.

Through these pains of trying hard to feel, accepting that I am an emotional creature becomes an obvious choice as, after all, I am not a robot.
At the same time, I recognized that my existence has an impact on not just people close to me but maybe the whole world too.
I noticed that due to me being around, many people wore more smiles than they would have had they been alone.

This hint of value to my existence, even without me trying, made me understand just how my presence itself can easily impact another’s life.

If we observe carefully enough, we should be able to see that all of us are catalysts for the change of anyone else simply by being ourselves through the day.

Hence, certainly, we are much more influential than we think we are.
